Money markets turmoil killed my forex account

That is that, I am no longer a forex trader. The small amount in the account would cost more to take out than is there. Paddys day 2008 was a bad day with billions wiped of the share markets and the forex market was affected too. I didn’t have the trader software running so I didn’t see what happened. There was no point running it because the prices were well out of the range of the grid trading that was set up in the last position taken.

I will not be sending more money into the forex account, it has been a really bad ride with a real account and real money. I had done well with demo accounts and with the live account, I had used safer settings. All I can say is that my timing was bad , bad, bad. It just goes to show that there is quite a bit of risk to trading forex, even if you are using something like a hedged position which should be a lot safer.

I  had a balance of nearly $500 and not there is $8. I think I will stick to the Betfair trading from now on and the Microstock illustration and photography. No risk with the art work just time needed to make it grow and the risk with Betfair is more manageable.

Good bye Forex and right now I can happily say good riddance. OK not happily, maybe smiling through gritted teeth and cursing under my breath. I wish I had left my money in the gold account as the price of gold went up by 50% since last year.
