Podcamp Barcelona

I saw details yesterday for a Podcamp that is taking place in Barcelona in September. Just outside of Barcelona in El Masnou actually. I signed up for it anyway and I am hoping I can get the time off work to go to it. There will only be a few more days left before the Campsite closes anyway so – what the hell.

Not many signed up for it yet but it could ee interesting and worth a look. Blogging and Podcasting has yet to take off here in Spain and maybe this will be the push that it needs.

UPDATE:- I know now that I will have time off work – from the end of August until March how about that. The boss said that the camp site took in 25% less this year so will be ending everyone’s contracts at the end of August anyway. I am so looking forward to having soome time to do my illustration work. It has been a long stretch working 6 days a week since march.

Hi - thanks for signing up for PodCamp Barcelona. I really hope you can get time off work to come along. There is a lot of interest in the event but at the moment Spain is on holiday.

As you say, blogging and podcasting hasn't taken off yet, but our experience organising the PodCamp shows us that it's just bubbling under - there are a LOT of projects and initiatives starting to happen and I hope the event contributes to that. We have been very surprised by the amount of interest shown by official bodies - more to come on that on our blog soon!

BTW - which laptop running Ubuntu did you buy? I'm in the same situation (iMac, but can't afford macbook at the moment) and have Ubuntu running an old, dying laptop...
