On it’s way – iMac 24

The iMac was due to be dispatched yesterday and according to the email I got in the morning from Apple it did leave the factory on the day it was supposed to leave. There is a facility in the order to follow its progress and I will be doing that on a daily basis. The carriers report back to say where the parcel is when it arrives somewhere new.

Last time I got something from Apple it came to me via Holland then Barcelona. I will be getting excited when I see Barcelona on the tracking because it is only a hop skip and a jump away by then.

The older iMac will be going to a good home with my son. He needs a Mac for his art work for college next year. He wants to be doing Flash animations plus photoshop and Illustrator work, the iMac will be just the job for him.

I expect to get the 24inch iMac after the weekend, there is a holiday here in Catalunya on Monday and Tuesday and maybe Wednesday will be the day the computer gets here.  iexpect to hang another monitor off the iMac soon enough. I want to get a second 24inch screen and use it for the graphics work. I will get one that doesn’t have a shiny screen.

Have you seen how beautiful these iMac’s are? All the computer built into the monitor. I went for a 500 GB hard disk and the better video card with the 512MB memory rather than the 256MB that is on the standard video card.

Probably will get the extra 2 GB of memory as soon as I can afford it to take it to the max of 4 GB. I got the 2.8 dual core version, The top of the range is 3.06 but reports say that the 2.8 is better value at the moment.
