Apart from the new set up of OSX Leopard I have been playing with Ubuntu and I have to say I like it. The reason for that is that I bought a laptop, and I went for cheapness. I got the laptop for 400 Euro and I put Ubuntu on it so that I would not have to suffer Windows Vista.
I have to tell you that Ubuntu is great, to use. I have found open source free program for all the things I want to do with the machine and I am happy using it. OK so it is not as nice and pretty as Leopard looks on my iMac but prety nifty all the same. The other option was to buy a MacBook which was over specified for what I wanted to do and therefore more expensive. The great thing about Linux is that it will run fast on lower end machines.
I have even set up a new blog which will be about using Ubunto. I am calling it Typical Ubuntu User and when I have got some content to put up on it I will broadcast more about it. I have a podcast started already.
