Many people know about the free calls you have when using Skype but not so many know about using it to call normal phones. I mean not everyone has a computer and not everyone has the computer turned on all the time. So it is very useful to get Skype to call a normal phone, and then if you want to talk a long time then you could ask the person you want to talk to to turn on their computer and you can talk for free.

I am always calling Ireland from Spain and I even call mobile numbers in Australia using VOIP and I hate to think how much it would cost me to make the same calls using a standard phone line.

In these tense, dire days for the economics of the world, then anyway to save a bit of money is a very good idea.
