Proper start to the Challenge

Liberec vs Brno

I just traded on the 30 minutes before the game and the first 18 minutes of the game in Czechia between Liberec and Brno. I placed a trade which would make 1Euro per binary point on BinarySoft BDI. Before the game I was able to green up 0.6 of the trade and as soon as the game started I put in a couple more and right now as you can see I will have €1.45 if the game ends under 2.5 goals and €1.63 if there are 3 or more goals. So I have hit the 1% target already and later I will do some more to get more money and bring it up to 2 or 3%. Perhaps I will look at the game when it is near the end at about 75 – 80 minutes and place a trade on a short odds prices and take another tick or two.

If there is a goal in the game I might go in there because the odds always change and then drop fairly quickly, hopefully with no equaliser coming too soon after the first goal. I will only do that on the first goal and when a second goal goes in I will only trade out if in a negative position and leave it alone if in the money.

One thing I like to do when I put in a trade on the back side if it is not matched straight away then I will set up a trigger to place an order on the lay side automatically. I do it a few ticks away and can lock in a bit more profit fairly easily.

Just placed another trade in BinarySoft BDI as there was a goal scored at 32 minutes. I greened up with just one more tick. I traded with just 0.2 on that one. Every little helps, just being cautious as it is getting near half time and home teams don’t like to go to the dressing rooms one goal down.

Results for the day.

Thought I was going to come a cropper on the Manchester United game but I kept my head after the first goal and traded a potential loss of nearly 7 euro to bring it back to a profit of 21 cents. I was lucky I suppose, there could have been more goals coming but I rode the wave and jumped into the water for the under 3.5 goal market and added €5.30 to the betting bank from there. I just kept it nice and steady with small risk and with BinarySoft BDI was able to get it to some lovely profits.

In BinarySoft BDI I was working mostly with €0.60 for the tick size and greening up a couple of ticks up from where I had bought the position. I found it good doing this as if the market did get suspended due to a goal then there was a chance that I had just done some greening up. Sometimes I greened up fully on the position and sometimes I greened up in €.20 increments, depending on what was happening with the market at the time.

I was getting a bit worried with the Man U game as there was virtually no movement in the market from the position I took at the start of the game for quite a few minutes. I think if this happens again I will just trade out for a small loss, just in case. Must have been loads of Manchester United fans kept putting lay bets on the under 2.5 goals thinking that they would just score loads against Fulham.Betfair Day One of the challenge

The basketball loss of 29 cents was due me trying to test out the stop loss feature in BinarySoft BDI as it is a thing I would like to use in a market something like basketball, darts, tennis where we don’t have the whole thing suspended when a goal is scored. It will allow me to let a win run off to the binary price of 100 and take all the money and have just a small profit if the price goes the other way. I think that could work well with backing of the favourite in tennis darts or snooker.

OK bedtime here and I will be looking forward to the matches on tomorrow…

Here is Betting in the blood blog – he made money on the Man U game too today.
