BetBotPro A real world testNot a good day for a couple of reasons. I am looking at the trial of the BetBot Pro and it is down by 37 euro so it has wiped the profit from yesterday of 14.60 Euro totally. But it is not all due to the favourite greyhounds winning the race and at least partly due to the failure of the internet today for a number of hours. I think it stopped working not just in my house but a neighbours house too and he has a different ISP so it was a problem caused by those bastards at Telefonica. Did I mention that I don’t like Telefonica? When the internet started working again I had to restart Windows on the laptop I am using to do the trial as well restart the BetBot Pro. The problem was with the network rather that with BetBotPro. The software just started from where it could and had been placing more bets and losing “money”. I am still on simulation mode with this, which is very sensible with trying out new software and new markets, the greyhounds, and therefore new strategies. The races start at about 11am and continue through the day until about 10:30 – 11:00 in the evening. So there is plenty of opportunity to win or lose money. Mark of BetBot Pro was telling me that he will stop betting once the targets have been hit, whether it is a negative target ot a profit target. I wonder at the sense of that? I it does not go well and I have lost money to hit the target for the day at 3pm and then start again with the same strategy the next day with the same market, what is the difference between doing that and starting again at 3:30pm on the same day? It works the same with the making the money profit, If I have made 15 Euro and that is the target, why stop at 3pm when there is still a pile of races left for that day. If I stop then I could be losing money on the rest of the races for the day. It is a psychological thing and nothing more unless I change the strategy, by doing something like instead of choosing the 1st favourite using the second favourite for the BetBot Pro to place the bets on. So it is far too early to make any judgment on Betbotpro, I think it is something that needs testing for at least a month and better still 3 months. Also I reckon it is best to test for a few weeks with the simulation mode and then moving on the testing for the first few couple of months with small stakes. I will probably buy the software when the five day test ends and start with the live test with small stakes. It is a neat trick that the BetBot Pro can put in bets well below the Betfair minimum. Here are a few of the features of the BetBotPro Software.
I may have to give the software a try on the horses too, but lets give the greyhounds a full testing first. |
